The MacBook Pro
The MacBook Pro is Apple's first attempt at the higher end laptop market, with a dual core processor. The MacBook Pro has amazing specs, as well as some pretty damn good bundled software.
The MacBook Pro was introduced in Steve Job's keynote speach at Macworld, 2006. It was the first Macontosh notebook ever to run on a Intel processor, as well as being the first to run on a dual-core processor.
The MacBook Pro has some amazing specs, even for a notebook. Running on a Core Duo processor, with up to 2.16 Ghz of speed per core, you can convert large video files, and play some good games with ease. The MacBook Pro can have up to 2 Gb of RAM, standard 1 Gb. It can have a 120 Gb HDD (80 or 100 Gb standard) and all models currently come with a 15.4 inch screen.
Unlike most notebooks, graphics are not one of the MacBook's weak points. The standard graphics card on the MacBook is the ATI Mobility Radon X1600, with 128mb or 256mb of dedicated video memory. These amazing grapics specs will give you the power you need to do all everyday tasks. You can also plug it into a TV using an optinal RCA adaptor.
The MacBook Pro's will not let you down on storage. With it's SuperDrive (CD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-RW) and it's large 80 or 100 gigabite HDD, with options to upgrade to a larger 120 Gb HDD. Using it's USB 2.0 and FireWire 400 port, you can attach extra flash drives and hard drives.
The MacBook Pro is an amazing system if you want to chat. It comes with iChat AV (an Apple-made video, sound and text chat programme,) with support for many other common chat programmes (Yahoo and Skype are a few mentions.) But, the best chatting feature of the MacBook Pro is it's built-in iSight webcam above the screen.
The MacBook Pro has a strong focus on connectitivity. It has two USB 2.0 ports on it's side, on FireWire 400 port and built-in Airport Extreme (wireless networking.) It also has built-in Bluetooth 2.0+EDR for keyboards, phones, mice and PDA's, as well as a wired networking port.
The MacBook Pro comes with huge amounts of built-in software. The MacBook uses the state-of the art OS X Tiger (OS 10.4) with support for widgets and the like. It also comes with iLife '06, which is a suite of applications. These are iPhoto, a photo editor and orginisor, iDVD, a DVD creator, iMovie HD, a movie-editing application, iWeb, a web site\blog creator, iTunes, a free music-editing app and GarageBand, a music editor and podcast creator.
But if you want a larger screen, legend has it that Apple will relese a 17 inch version of the MacBook Pro soon.
In conclusion, the MacBook Pro is definitly the best Mac laptop on the market today, and maybe one of the best laptops on the whole market. With it's large bundles of included software, and some amazing specs, you will have many ways to enjoy the iLife!

Power Mac G5 Quad
The PowerMac G5 is Apple's current pro level computer.The Power Mac G5 can have up to four processor cores (the only current PC (that I know of) that can have that many!) 16GB DDR RAM, up to two 500GB HDD's, which hold a terabite. All of the models have a SuperDrive with double-layer support.
The PowerMac has some amazing specs, even for the lower-end system. All models come with a dual-core processor (one has a quad-core, as mentioned.) The processor can have bewteen 2 Ghz and 2.5 Ghz (Steve Jobs said the system would reach 3 Ghz in 2004, but that has not occured.) It has 512 Mb of RAM and a 160GB HDD. All come with a SuperDrive (DVD-RW+DL DVD+RW+DL and CD-RW), one FireWire 800 port, two FireWire 400 ports, four USB 2.0 ports and two USB 1.1 ports (on keyboard.) Note that all of these specs are standard, and can be upgraded.
The Power Mac has a bundle of free software. The 64-bit version of OS X will allow you do everything you have to do! And, it also comes with iLife '06 with GarageBand, iDVD, iMovie HD, iPhoto and iTunes (which is free, and comes in a Windows version.)
The PowerMac also comes with a free keyboard and mouse, but it does not come with a monoter. The obvous choice would be the line of Apple Cinema Display's, but these cost lots too.
But, with all of these things in mind, is now really the right time to buy? Apple is making a move to Intel processors, and this will probably affect the PowerMac line very soon...
In short, the PowerMac G5 is one of the best workstation computers on the market today. Jump the whole dual-core craze and go strait to a quad-core. Sure, it may cost abit more, but you will feel the difference in preformance and speed. But, if you don't have the money, go for the iMac Core Duo.

iMac Core Duo
At Macworld in 2006, Apple relesed the iMac Core Duo (reffered to as the "iMac in this article.) The iMac had dual core processors (up to 2ghz per core (i think)), 160gb or 250gb hard drives, four USB ports (two 2.0 ports at the back, two 1.1 on the keyboard.) One FireWire 400 port is also at the back. It comes pre-installed with iLife 2006 and OSX Tiger.
The iMac is probably one of the best systems at the below $2000 price point. The dual core 1.83 ghz processor, and ethernet and wireless ready, will mean that you can use it on most networks, wired and wireless. It also has Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Echanced Data Rate.)
The iMac is also an excellent entertainment system, housing a video out port, a CD-RW\DVD-RW drive and Front Row (an interface for the entertaiment parts of the system.) With an additinal digital TV adaptor, you can watch and record TV on your iMac. It also comes with a free Apple Remote.
The unit is also network ready, with wireless compatability, and wired networking built-in.
Some other features of the iMac Core Duo are: A built-in iSight camera, Free Apple keyboard and mouse and all Intel based Mac's ship with iLife 2006 (with iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD, iWeb and Garageband.)
The iMac Core Duo is one of the best Apple desktops on the market at the moment. Priced at a very affordable point, and coming with alot of freebies, the Core Duo is a bargan in itself! If you have the money though, get the PowerMac G5, with a dual or quad core processor. But, it costs $4450 for the dual core model, and a 20 inch Cinema Display.

Apple iPod Shuffle vs Creative MuVo TX FM
Thanks to Brian Kendig for the image of the ShuffleNote: The name has been changed from Apple iPod Shuffle vs Creative MuVo to Apple iPod Shuffle vs Creative MuVo TX FM. Sorry, but the name MuVo applyies to many mp3 players.
Welcome to the final match in the mp3 wars. Today, the unique iPod Shuffle will be up against Creative's MuVo TX FM. Both players are small and cheap, but will the iPod's lack of a screen lose it this battle? Find out!
Round One: Features
This is one of the Shuffle's weak points. The Shuffle's only feature is the swich on the back! It lets you change it from shuffle-playlist-off. The MuVo, meanwhile, has FM tuning, voice recording and a screen. It is in black and white, but that is better then nothing. The MuVo also has an equliser. Both of them can be used as a USB flash device.

Introduction
In this first article in Mp3 Wars, the proven Ipod With Video will go up against the Iriver H320. Both of these players can play photos and music.
Round One: Features
The Ipod easly beats the H320 on features, but both have music and photo playback, and that's all most users will need. The H320's interface is a pleasure to look at, but the Ipod has an easy to use and proven interface. But, the H320 has built in voice recording, which you can only have on an iPod with an expensive adaptor. The H320 also has text and search compatabily, with iPod olny have text. The iPod though has video playback and a greater "cool factor."

Round Two: User Friendliness
As mentioned before, the H320 has a good interface and screen, but the controls look to weird and may take some getting used to. There are few people who have not used an iPod, so the learning curve for the contorls is oftern very slight. Both of them have OK battery life (H320, 17 hours, iPod 16 hours.) The iPod does not come with an AC adaptor. iPod syncs with iTunes, which I found easer to use than Windows Media Player.

Mp3 Player Wars Introduction

Look at Freeware: Article 2
iTunes: This counts as "50-50" freeware. iTunes is free, but it is not avalable for Linux and it is not open source. iTunes comes for free on a CD with every iPod. Download iTunes.
Soldat: This counts as "near" freeware. You do'nt have to pay anything to use the base programme. But, you do get a nag screen at the beggining and you can only use the "defult" user. Soldat is a great shoot-em-up. Download Soldat.
Google Earth: Google Earth is a programme that most people use to explore the earth and find directions. Google Earth is free, but is not open source (i think.) Google Moon is simmilar to Google Earth, see the wiki article. Download Google Earth
Thunderbird: Thunderbird is an email and news\RSS client. It is free, can be used with any manjor OS and has a large community of fans. Thunderbird also has support for extensions and themes. Thunderbird is completly free, and can be downloaded here.
Skype: Skype is a free IM, VoIP and FTP client. Skype is most popular for it's VoIP part. Skype sounds like a normal telephone, and you can even buy add-on phones! If you want, you can pay to get "Skype In", a phone number that others can dial (ones without Skype, obvisiouly) to talk to you. Skype Out is the same, execept you can call normal people using skype. Download Skype.

Reviw of Green Day: American Idiot
Note: This reviw I also wrote on the iTunes music store review system. I wrote it as king_for_a_day.
American Idiot is an amazing album. I could stop there, but there is alot more to talk about. American Idiot has a good range of songs, ranging from the punky American Idiot to the slow Bouelvard of Broken Dreams. It is good value for money, with two songs going for longer than nine minutes. The song has a storyline following the adventures of the charater Jesus of Surburbia.
American Idiot is the introduction to the album, with Jesus of Surburbia being the introduction for Jesus of Surburbia. Jesus of Surburbia ("Jesus") decides to move to the city (Holiday) and has a great time. He starts to feel alienated despite the City's croud (Bouelvard of Broken Dreams-Are we the Wailing.) He then takes on a dual personality as Saint Jimmy (St. Jimmy.) He soon turns to drugs due to the pressures of a dual personality (Give me Novacane.) Then, he meets Whatshername (She's a Rebel) and the start dating (Extraordiary Girl.) They brake up (Letterbomb) and after a hard September (Wake Me Up When September Ends) he goes back home (Homecoming.) He is then left with memories of the city, and if he stayed with Watshername (Whatshername.)
This album is fantastic. If you just buy a single\one song you are missing out on HEAPS. Buy the whole thing.

The Vought F4U Corsiar
The Vought F4U Corsiar was one of the first, and best carrier-borne aircraft of all time. It was intally equipped with machene-guns and bombs, but bombs, rokets and cannon where soon added.
The Corsiar was intally deemed unsutible for carrier-bound operations, It was first flowen from land on Guadalcanal. The Navy took it on, and was the main fighter in the last year of the Pacific war. The Corsiar was also used by the Marines.
The Corsiar was used in the Korean War, as a ground attack aircraft and some knocked out MiG-15's!
The Corsiar was a stable workhorse, that was inportant to the final victory in the Pacific.

Firefox, the alternative web browser by Mozillia, has reached 1.5. Firefox 1.5 has many improvements, both small and even smaller. Click on the image to get a bigger version.
Most of its improvements are improvements that are "under the surface." These improvements mostly are patches, to make it safer. One of the ones I have seen, is when you are at a site with an
RSS feed, you get a little symbol near it's URL.
Firefox has been well receved by the Net community, receving over 100,000,000 (one hundred million) downloads.

designed the Warthog.
The Warthog was first used in the First Gulf War. They where used as a anti-tank aircraft. They took many Iraqi tank casuties and shot down 6 helicopters with air-to-air missiles. They took on a simmilar job in the Second Gulf War.
The A-10 is armed with a leathal depleted uranimum cannon, which can kill a tank in one shot, from over four miles away. The A-10 also can be armed with missiles, "dumb" bombs and "smart" bombs.

You may, or may not have heard that just over 12 hours ago, a series of blasts rips up Bali, a resort island in Indonesia. Reports show that about 30 people are dead, going up from reports as low as three. This includes South Koreans, Americans, Australians, Indonesians and a Briton. The explosions hit three locations around Bali, hitting two restrants and a shopping center, almost 30 kilometers away. A 16-year old Australian boy is among the dead.
