The B-36 Peacemaker

The B-36 Peacemaker

The Peacemaker, one of the largest planes ever made, was first suggested in WW2 as a plane that could drop bombs on Erope from mainland USA. It edventually could fly for 15 hours, longer than the other bombers at the time. It was used in the Cold War as a strategic bomber deterrant and a recon plane. The Peacemaker never dropped bombs in anger.
Note: Most versions of the Peacemaker had 6 props and 4 jets, but the earler ones had olny 6 props.

This Peacemaker, is one of the one with jets. Peacemakers flew near, probably over the USSR during the Cold War. They where also a great recon plane.
