The B-52 Stratofortress

The B-52 was built as a turboprop powered successor to the B-50(an improved B-29.) Later, turboprops where added and Boeing built the best heavy bomber ever. Although the B-1 could carry a larger bomb load, the B-52 is the best. Feared by the Viet Cong and the Iraq republican guard, the B-52 was used in all the US-involved, post Korea 21st century conflicts.
